My practice has been primarily devoted to the area of Family Law since 1994. I also have experience in Business Law, Personal Injury Law, Real Estate Law and Probate. After experiencing a Family Court case myself, I decided to limit my practice and concentrate in this one area. I felt there was a better way to handle these sensitive matters. Anyone who goes through a family court case is facing severe stress and worry.

I was licensed to practice in 1977 at the age of 22. It was believed that at the time I was the youngest lawyer ever to pass the bar exam and be sworn in to the Bar in South Carolina. I spent six years in a general firm where I practiced in areas such as personal injury and business law along with family law. Subsequently I was general counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development to a national company for three years, and then owned my own business for 11 years. In 1994, I resumed the full time practice of law, concentrating in the family law area.
